Paleo Cherry Chocolate Smoothie

This smoothie is perfect for anyone trying to curb his/her sweet tooth while still having something to satisfy the taste buds! Cherries are such a powerhouse fruit, loaded in antioxidants, and can even boost recovery, improve heart health, and even improve sleep. Don’t sleep on cherries!

Yields 2 Servings | Total Time 5 Minutes + Soaking Time

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen organic cherries

  • 1 cup spring or filtered water

  • 1/3 cup raw cashews - soaked overnight in spring or filtered water

  • 2 ice cubes

  • 1 small medjool date

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs + more for garnish

  • 1 tsp hemp seeds for garnish

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Drain the soaked cashews and add to your high-speed blender along with the water and vanilla. Blend until smooth.

  2. Add in the remaining ingredients and blend again until smooth.

  3. Serve immediately and garnish with more cacao nibs and hemp seeds.
