Jason's biggest passion in life is to celebrate health and culture through plant-based cuisine.

To Jason, plant-based means eating patterns focused primarily or solely on nourishing plant foods, ranging from fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains, and small amounts of high-quality, consciously sourced fish and meats for those whose dietary needs require so.

He currently serves as a self-trained private chef, culinary consultant and health coach in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York City. 

Jason uses his culinary creations as a means to improve the health of his clients, both mentally and physically, and to pay homage to and celebrate cultural experiences he is inspired by. 

The basis for Jason's work is predicated upon the respect he has for food, culture and health. 

FOOD - Growing up, he always found himself in the kitchen, from helping his grandmother cut vegetables to cooking Thanksgiving for 12 when he was only 13 years old. This led Jason to explore the question we should all ask ourselves - "Where does my food come from?" In doing so, he became very intrigued by agriculture and earned a bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Agricultural Science, with a focus in Sustainable Agriculture. 

CULTURE - At Penn State, Jason was granted the opportunity to study abroad in Tuscany, Italy, to learn about food studies, sustainable food systems and the Italian culture. Living in Florence ignited his passion for preparing farm-to-table, seasonal ingredients, treating such ingredients with the upmost respect, and using his culinary creations as a means to story tell and pay respect to the places and people that inspire him.

The desire for culinary travel did not end in Italy however. After graduating college, Jason backpacked for six months in Europe and Central America volunteering on multiple organic farms and homesteads through a program referred to as WWOOF. These experiences served as a cultural exchange for Jason where he was able to learn about other cultures and the role that food plays within each of those societies, to refine his cooking style, as well as to grow mentally and spiritually. 

HEALTH - Jason's immense passion for holistic health started a few years back, though it was always knocking at the door. He is now a certified Health Coach as a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition based in New York City. Here, he has been educated in over 100 dietary theories, physical exercise and health & wellness practices such as relationships, spirituality, career, etc. Jason has dedicated himself to living a healthy lifestyle through his education and makes it the focus of his work.

Jason's goal is to encourage people to reassess their relationships with food, people and nature to lead them toward more grounded, healthier lifestyles filled with joy and vitality.
