Jason spends most of his free time outdoors in nature hiking, biking, swimming, barbecuing or just hanging out. He believes that the outdoors is therapeutic, serving as medicine for both mental and physical health. It helps keep him grounded, relieve stress, calm the mind, increase longevity and stay physically active.
Jason believes that the communal sharing of food and cooking is the key to building cultural awareness and to bringing joy to people's lives. In his opinion, the act of cooking and being in the kitchen, and sharing that with others, provides the body with just as much nourishment as food itself. Through his culinary travels, he has a gained a much deeper appreciation for food, people and his surroundings. He uses such experiences as inspiration in his cooking and shares that with others through celebrating the people and places he is inspired by.

Jason's life and profession revolves around integrating health & wellness practices to any and all situations. Such practices include eating a diet rich in high quality plant-based foods, staying physically active, connecting with nature, having a positive mindset and surrounding yourself with a supportive cast of individuals. Doing so has brought greater joy, positivity, vitality and opportunities to his life. He puts this energy into his profession and feels that it shows in the lives of the people he has the opportunity to work with.
